Towns in Devon
Honiton
Honiton boasts a number of independent retailers and is renowned for its antique shops, boasting over 20 shops. Another historical link which the town is also famous for is its lace making. The town’s museum has one of the most comprehensive collections of Honiton Lace in the world.
Lyme Regis
Lyme Regis is a historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastline and countryside the area is famous for its geology and fossil finds and has now been awarded World Heritage Site Status.
Seaton
Tucked away in a corner of East Devon is the beautiful, unspoilt Axe Valley and at the mouth of the river lies the coastal resort of Seaton. Seaton is a traditional Devon seaside town in an area of outstanding natural beauty situated midway between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.
Sidmouth
Sidmouth is situated at the mouth of the River Sid in the East Devon district. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is on the Jurassic Coast world heritage site and the South West Coast Path. Sidmouth has many independent retailers, restaurants and tea rooms, plus a museum which contains local memorabilia, artefacts and geological information about the local area.
Budleigh Salterton
Situated in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), on the coast of Glorious East Devon, the spectacular red cliffs of Budleigh and neighbouring Exmouth form the majestic beginning of the Jurassic Coast.
City of Exeter
Exeter has a rich history of more than 2,000 years. Today this thriving city boasts the recently built Princess Hay Shopping Centre, restaurants, bars, an annual food festival and a stunning cathedral which was founded in 1050.
